Video Updates

Posted by NickDickem - January 9th, 2022

Greetings everyone

After reviewing the kind of content Newgrounds prefers (probably should have done that in the beginning), I won't put up the rest of my highschool films on the profile, as I'd hate to get the boot right when I started to use this site. However, if anyone is interested in experiencing the cringe that is my film portfolio, I uploaded all of those videos to my YouTube, where I will attempt to post more content.

As for new content, I'm the only one in my friend group with an actual interest in film, and since I no longer have access to film equipment like I used to, I'm left in a sort of limbo. Video equipment is expensive, and not something I can afford at the moment, so if you're one of those few who are legitimately interested in my films then for the time being you might be shit out of luck. However, I do have some ideas on how to keep busy:

Currently, I've been learning how to use special effects by splicing multiple video of myself in place of actors. For the current moment this might be my only way of making film-related content.

And on top of that, there's some other miscellaneous content I could make. Audiobooks, gaming, etc to make sure I don't get rusty. But un less films made on a phone is interesting to you guys, I'll likely not put anything out.

And then there comes the question of this account. I want to branch out of YouTube, as it is no longer friendly to small creators. However, I'm not an animator nor can I draw, so until I make a video with a lot of keyframed PNGs I'm afraid to post here, as I don't want to be smitten. To anyone interested in the future of my content, I hope you'll stick around as I attempt to get this all under control. Ideas are always welcome, too. But for now, expect more blogs and opinions rather than actual video.
